Greetings!

I am a freelance government affairs consultant, focusing on state housing law compliance, housing programs, and public affairs.

Currently, I serve as a member of the Emeryville City Council and was selected as the 2023 Vice Mayor.

Previously, I held the role of Director of Policy and Communications with the Bay Area Community Land Trust, where my team and I help create permanently affordable housing through cooperatively-run land stewardship projects. Additionally, I was the Continuum of Care Specialist with EveryOne Home, where I played a key role in ensuring the Alameda County Continuum of Care is HUD compliant and operates efficiently and effectively to address homelessness. My other past roles include affordable Housing Program Coordinator with HomeownershipSF and an Administrative and Membership Associate for the Non-Profit Housing Association of Northern California. In 2015, I founded Courtney Consulting Agency, a virtual assistant firm dedicated to assisting minority-owned startups and small businesses with administrative and operations needs.
